9/2/08- Triple Semi Success
The under 12s, 14s and 16s all progressed to finals in three magnificent performances today. The under 12s defeated Coventry City 3-2 after extra time following a fantastic comeback from 2-0 down at half time with Jess Chew scoring a superb hattrick.
The under 16s inflicted a 3-0 defeat on Shrewsbury Town, in what turned out to be a comfortable victory. Amber Hughes scored twice with Laura Sitch getting the other. It is a fantastic achievement for the team who have reached the final for the fourth consecutive year.
The performance of the day must go to the under 14s who defeated Fordhouse Ladies 3-2. Having suffered two heavy defeats earlier in the season Fordhouse somewhat underestimated the improvements that have been made and the girls made them pay. The comeback of Rachel Moore continues as she scored twice with Loren Aldred adding another to book a place in the final for the second successive year.
Congratulations to all the players, managers and coaches.
